Imagine being hurt in a terrible car accident, missing work and social activities, being laid up for weeks, months or perhaps the rest of your life and then, in order to be compensated for all your losses, you have to go to trial. That doesn’t sound like a good result to us. It sounds like a last resort.
Our firm is founded on the belief that hard work, preparation and perseverance lead to good results. For you. That’s why our hard work begins the minute you become a client and continues until we succeed on your behalf. If we don’t win, you don’t pay us a dime.
A: Absolutely! Car crashes are handled on a contingency, meaning that the lawyer is only paid if the client makes a recovery (one is contingent on the other). Our payment is a percentage of the money we recover on your behalf. There are some obvious benefits to that arrangement – you get the services of a lawyer without having to pay up front and because we only get paid if you do, we have extra incentive to work hard.
Q: Will doctors take the case on a contingency too?
A: That would be highly unlikely. Many medical providers will treat car crash victims on a lien, however. These doctors will wait for payment until your case is settled. Treating on a lien means that they provide medical care to you and the bill for their care becomes attached to your settlement and must be paid from it. If you decide not to pursue your case, however, they are still owed the bill and will collect it from you directly.
Q: How long will it take to settle my case?
A: There is no one-size-fits-all answer to that question. It depends on how many people were involved in the crash, what your medical history is, what your injuries are, who the insurance company is and so many other factors that we couldn’t possibly list them all here. However, being very thorough and organized often helps cases move more quickly.
Q: What is my case worth?
A: The answer depends on your medical history, the extent of your injuries, whether the other driver was entirely at fault and many other factors. The attorneys at Fite Law Group have handled car accident cases in the State of Arizona for over 15 years. An in-person meeting to discuss the crash, your injuries and treatment and the value of your case is always free. Call to make an appointment.
